Acino Middle East is one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies that is managed through their Regional Office here in Dubai and operates in a highly diversified region. Organized in five clusters – Iraq, Saudi Arabia (KSA), GLE, French Speaking Africa (FSA), and English-Speaking Africa (ESA) – they have strong local teams in their markets with a sales force of nearly 400 medical sales representatives and strong distribution partnerships across the region.

OFFICE DESIGN AS A POWERFUL RECRUITMENT TOOL

Employees care about where they work. An effective way to attract the right talents and to actually retain them for many years is by having an inspiring and comfortable workspace in placed. Located at Dubai Science Park, Acino’s office project is an ideal example of how a well-designed interior could support everyday work and build good professional relationships within the organization.


PROGRESSIVE DESIGN IN A POST-PANDEMIC WORLD

Moving into a new office presents an opportunity for a fresh start. More space, nicer facilities, and a better location meant an improved workforce and an increased productivity. Acino was cognizant of the contemporary changes happening in modern offices and well-aware of the expectations of their employees. Hence, the client wanted a workplace that would meet all these needs while making the transition under a new management at ease. The fitout was made to fit 45 to 50 employees, catering their ever-changing needs in a post-pandemic world.

The entire interior concept was created and developed during many workshops with the client. The soft loft style for the office was chosen by them, which levelled up the area’s aesthetics as it increased its working adaptability. The client’s creative energy was also channelled by SI to decide on the themes and look of various parts in the workplace like the pantry and meeting rooms.


OPTIMAL LIGHTING SOLUTION

Flexibility, form, and function were the driving factors behind the lighting design for this project. To balance the flow of light throughout the entire office, our team planned and designed it with plenty of glass partitions at a 45-degree angle using the column grid at the sides.
With the office’s angular spaces of varying size and function, the space gives a strong sense of strength and direction. The jutting wall edges provide orientation, pointing visitors and employees on the right path like giant wayfaring markers. The carpet lines with interesting accent color placed on the floor also help with wayfinding.


AN INNOVATIVE WORKPLACE DESIGN
The project resulted in a highly modern office which was favorable for both its employees and visitors, giving them the freedom and motivation that they need to meet deadlines and to produce a good quality of work.

The client was very happy with the outcome and was looking forward to welcome their workforce in their new office that was created solely for their benefit.
